4K Registration

The School District of South Milwaukee will open 4K registration for the 2020-2021 school year during the week of March 30.  Any student that will be four years old on or by September 1, 2020 is eligible for 4K.  If a child in your house will turn four by that date, we encourage you to register.  If you know a family that has a child that could attend 4K next school year, please forward this email to them and ask them to check the district’s homepage next week.  During the school closure, we will also have paper forms available in boxes at the front door of each elementary school for families to fill out and mail to us.

NEW this year!  The School District of South Milwaukee will offer an all-day 4K pilot program at Rawson Elementary only.  Anyone in South Milwaukee may apply to take part in the all-day 4K pilot program, but it will be limited to 22 students.  If more than 22 students apply, a lottery will be held with preference given to families living in the Rawson school boundaries.  We expect this option to fill quickly, so if you are interested in this pilot program, please submit your registration quickly.

Traditional half-day 4K will continue to be offered at Blakewood, Lakeview, and E. W. Luther schools, along with wrap-around care offered by the South Milwaukee Recreation Department at Blakewood and Lakeview schools.  More information about all of these programs will be on the registration forms that will be available next week.  We are proud to be able to offer many options to our youngest learners - the future class of 2034!

Questions about 4K registration may be sent to Chris Sepersky, principal of Lakeview Elementary, at csepersky@sdsm.k12.wi.us
