EXERCISE CLASSES FOR WINTER

Chiseled
This class is the ultimate sculpting experience designed to challenge both your muscular strength and muscular endurance.  Every muscle group is targeted, leaving you with a totally defined and toned body!

Dance Fitness
Dance Fitness is a category of classes that have a focus on cardiovascular exercise. Similar to Zumba, instructors plan easy-to-follow fast and slow choreographical rhythms that keep participants moving to raise their heart rates. This style of cardio dance is the type that has been known to take over the world.

EZ Yoga/Tai Chi
Poses are modified to be done from a seated position or standing and are great for people with either arthritis, or have trouble getting up off the floor due to poor joints.  This class will work all muscles of the body but at your pace and limitations.  No special skills or previous training needed.  Please bring your own water, appropriate shoes, and wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.

Hydro Aerobic Weight Water Program

Come splash and move in a fun environment that takes the weight off your joints.  We've added additional water weights to offer another level of variety to this popular class.  Great for all ages!  Enter the Middle School through door #34.

Pilates
Pilates is an innovative way to improve flexibility, balance, and coordination.  Improve your posture and realign your spine while strengthening your core musculature.   Please bring your own mat.

Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga.
Choose your style.  Gentle Yoga - We've added blocks and bands for our methods to offer a different level of stability and standardization.  Vinyasa - The word "Vinyasa" literally means, "to place in a certain way." It is used to describe the linking of breath with movement. Vinyasa Yoga class is a style that includes, but is not limited to, Ashtanga, Flow, and Power Yoga.  Yoga helps develop a healthy mind and body.  Reduce stress, increase muscular strength, and learn to “go within” to experience peace and restoration, while focusing on proper breathing techniques and correct posture alignment.  Please bring your own mat.

Zumba®
Zumba is a fusion of mostly Latin and other International music. The class combines fast and slow rhythms, allowing participants to achieve a unique blend of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.  Ditch the Workout; join the party!

NOTE: Fitness Center members qualify for resident rates in any class offered.  This type of registration needs to occur in person with the recreation department.
